Yukie Nakama Japanese Actress, Singer Beauty Hairstyle

Yukie Nakama, born October 30, 1979 is a Japanese actress, singer and former idol. She was born in Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan, into a fisherman's family, the youngest of five siblings. At the start of her career she was a gravure idol and singer (her debut single "Moonlight to Daybreak" was released in 1996), and appeared in bit roles until her career breakthrough playing Sadako in "Ring 0: Birthday (2000)." In Japanese culture, female idols are media personalities in their teens and twenties who are considered particularly attractive or cute and who will, for a period ranging from several months to a few years, regularly appear in the mass media, e.g. as singers for pop groups, bit-part actors, TV personalities (tarento), models in photo spreads published in magazines, advertisements, etc. But not every young celebrity is considered an idol. Young celebrities who wish to cultivate a rebellious image, such as many rock musicians, reject the "idol" label.

In 2000, Nakama demonstrated her talent for comedy with her lead role in the Japanese television drama Trick which proved so popular that it had two more seasons and three film versions, but it was the top-rating 2002 TV series Gokusen, a live-action version of the popular manga, that established her as one of Japan's most popular and bankable actresses.

Nakama has featured in commercials for companies such as Nissin, Glico, Lotte, Asahi, Shiseido, au by KDDI, and has even served as a spokesperson for Japan Railways and the Japanese Tax Agency. She is managed by Production Ogi.

The idol phenomenon began during the early 1970s, reflecting a boom in Japan for the musician Sylvie Vartan in the French film Cherchez l'idole in 1963, with Japanese title in November 1964. The term came to be applied to any cute female actress or singer, or any cute male singer. Teenage girls, mostly between 14 and 16, and teenage males, mostly between 15 and 18, began rising to stardom. One in particular, Momoe Yamaguchi, was a huge star until her marriage and retirement in 1980. Idols dominated the pop music scene in the 1980s, and this period is known as the "Golden Age of Idols in Japan". In a single year, as many as 40 or 50 new idols could appear, only to disappear from the public spotlight shortly afterwards. A few idols from that era, such as Seiko Matsuda, are still popular. In the 1990s, the power of female Japanese idols began to wane, as the music industry shifted towards rock musicians and singers for whom music was a more important sales point than looks or wholesomeness, as well as towards genres such as rap that were harder to square with conventional prettiness. At the same time, the power of male Japanese idols, such as SMAP, Kinki Kids, Tokio, and V6, grew. The Japanese idol phenomenon has had a large impact on popular culture especially in Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and other Asian and non-Asian Countries.

Ersela KURTI Beauty Fashion Miss World

Ersela was born and raised in Albania's capital city Tirana. Currently studying for her Master's Degree, Ersela is a student of Law. In between her studies, she works as a dancer on television productions with future ambitions of becoming a presenter. She describes herself as “friendly and outgoing, but ambitious and able to work hard to achieve my goals”. Her hobbies include dancing, swimming and motorsports.

From childhood, I had a belief in kindness and I think that beauty and kindness go together. That's why I hope that through my studies in the field of Law, I can bring some softness to the roughness of justice. As Dostoyevsky used to say, "Beauty will save the world." In this competition I feel involved not only as a person, but together with my I hold the culture and customs of my country.

Indeed, Ersela has all the beauty she needs in order to be on the top. But like her predecessors, none of which landed in the semis of Miss World, their beauty is not enough to gain traction at Miss World. It is important for Ersela to focus on the Beauty with a Purpose element of the pageant seeing that beauty-wise, she has it all.

Wei Wei YU Miss World China PR Beauty Fashion

Wei Wei was born and raised in Xi’an, the capital of Shaan Xi Province, an area she describes as steeped in rich cultural heritage. Wei Wei majored in Music at university and is an accomplished Piano player as well as an operatic singer. Her hobbies include painting and calligraphy, and she plays Taekwondo. Wei Wei has ambitions of becoming a fashion designer in the future, with hopes of starting her own brand. Her favourite cuisine is nearby Sichuan Province’s famous hotpot.

For me, the Miss World Pageant has a special meaning. In 2009, because I had participated in the Miss World pageant I was able to raise over 50 thousand US dollars to help rebuild a school destroyed in a mudslide near my hometown. Two years later I volunteered as an art and music teacher in a small primary school in the mountains of southwestern China. I leveraged my participation in the Miss World to create a documentary drawing attention to the need for more teachers in remote schools. I’m here now in Indonesia as Miss China with a simple purpose, to stand on a larger platform where I can inspire and empower - on a global scale – young women like myself to help children in need."

In 2010, she started her music career, debuting with the single "Kamu to Funyan" which featured rapper Astro and was used in the tie-in commercials for Lotte Fit's Chewing Gum. Sasaki's debut album Nozomi Collection was released on April 18, 2012. She was given the nickname "No Mercy" for her countless reported atrocities toward other show-business girls she worked with, in her teenage years, especially toward actresses, glamour models, and fashion models from foreign countries, whom she considered to be "fat".

Sasaki began modeling at the age of around 14. She modeled mainly in the collection circuit, and for fashion / cosmetic advertisements. In the later years of her modeling career, she was a featured model and contributor to the now defunct Pinky magazine. She first appeared on the cover of Pinky in July 2007, along with another cover girl, Emi Suzuki.

One theory suggests that Suzuki was the person who brought Sasaki to the commercial modeling field after she discovered Sasaki when Sasaki was planning to retire from modeling, and it has been noted that Sasaki already appeared at the time to be significantly chubbier than she used to be.

Tulisa Contostavlos Actress Stills Wallposts

Tula Paulinea "Tulisa" Contostavlos born 13 July 1988, sometimes known simply as Tulisa, is an English singer-songwriter. She is best known for being a member of the now defunct Camden-based hip hop group N-Dubz, with her cousin Dappy and their friend Fazer. N-Dubz formed in 2000 and released three studio albums before announcing their indefinite hiatus in 2011.

During 2011 to 2012, she participated as a judge on the The X Factor and mentored the "Groups" category in her first year, including Little Mix, the first ever group to win the competition. On 16 March 2012, during a Twitter dispute with Dappy, Contostavlos announced that N-Dubz had split up, and were not taking a break as stated in 2011. Contostavlos released her debut solo album, The Female Boss, on 26 November 2012 which received negative feedback and poor first-week sales.

Following a sting arranged by the Sun on Sunday newspaper, Contostavlos was arrested on 4 June 2013 (along with a 35-year old man), on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs, after the Metropolitan Police "received information concerning the alleged supply of illegal drugs at a central London location".

In June 2013, The Sun newspaper alleged that Contostavlos had been arranging drug deals for friends, as well as assisting drug gangs when she was younger. A reporter for the paper conducted an interview with her where he was reportedly offered an £820 drug deal by Contostavlos and her friend, rapper Mike GLC. A day later, it was revealed that police had visited Contostavlos's home in Hertfordshire and would interview her about the allegations. On 4 June 2013, Contostavlos was arrested by police on suspicion of supplying class A drugs and bailed to a date in July 2013 and it was revealed that two residential properties had been searched as part of the investigation.
